Meidad Eliyahu (b. 1983, Mesilat Zion) is an artist and curator based in Jerusalem. His work is driven by social awareness and a deep interest in the people and cultures around him.
Much of his art engages with the traditions and lived experiences of specific communities, with a particular focus on the history of his own family within the Cochin Jewish community and their immigration to Israel.
Although painting is his primary medium, his paintings are often elements in a larger, site-specific installations that respond to the physical and conceptual context of their location. His style blends his training in realistic drawing and printmaking with the themes that shape his artistic practice.

Yoel Tordjeman (1960–2024), born in Paris, lived and worked in Safed. Many of the subjects he explored in his work are abstract, yet each piece begins with a concrete image—sometimes a photograph—which Tordjeman reworked until it reached a state of abstraction.
The works selected for this issue are taken from 613, an exhibition displayed across 12 bridges around the world. The exhibition examines different relationships between the sanctity embodied in the 613 commandments and a sense of responsibility toward all humanity.
Tordjeman said his primary medium is “light”. Throughout his life, he experimented with printmaking and his technique combined photography, digital processing, and layered handwork.
